- Position: Infusion Delivery Driver
- Location:Houston, TX
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
THE POSITION: Verifies and keeps records on all outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipments, and responsible for delivering and picking up patient supplies and equipment to/from their homes in accordance with all policies and procedures.
Service Specialist/Delivery Activities:
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with the patients, families and caregivers as well as all PHS employees.
- Manages time efficiently and be competent in estimating drive times.
- Interacts with customers/clients, as necessary.
- Schedules and makes deliveries/exchanges for patients on agreed upon date and time.
- Confirms delivery and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Performs data entry functions to log customer visits, conversations and follow-ups.
- Coordinates regular maintenance service to company vehicles if needed.
- The position requires a reliable personal vehicle that meets company standards, along with a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance. Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved work-related travel.
Warehouse Activities:
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Determines method of shipment based on time constraints and customers’ special needs.
- Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
- Picks correct products per order and prepares packages for shipping.
- Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments for damage and reports to purchasing if needed.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Assists clinicians with locating and preparing equipment and supply needs.
- Completes necessary warehouse-related paperwork.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Orients and trains company staff to warehouse as needed.
- Assists Pharmacy and BioMed staff in inventory management.
Equipment Processing/Biomed Activities:
- Recommends improvements and/or procedural changes to the Biomedical Supervisor.
- Interacts with internal and external customers to provide assistance with equipment needs.
- Completes equipment processing administrative tasks such as data entry and paperwork.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous warehouse or service specialist experience preferred.
- DME/Infusion experience a plus!
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
- Valid State Driver’s License (must have a clean record)
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to use navigation system and follow maps.
- Basic computer skills including Word and Excel
